In August we let you know that Fuddruckers will be returning to Chinatown in Washington DC and Silver Spring in Maryland with new locations originally scheduled to open in the fall.
We were able to confirm that Fuddruckers will be returning to its old Downtown Silver Spring Location at 819 Ellsworth Drive after closing in the same location in December 2019. While we haven’t heard back regarding the opening timeline, the store is making progress with a hearing for its beer, wine, and liquor license on Thursday, November 21st.
The closest Fuddruckers location to Montgomery County right now is in Ashburn, VA. Former Montgomery County locations included Rockville, Gaithersburg, and Downtown Silver Spring (where it will be returning).
In 2021, we reported that Fuddruckers franchisee Nicholas Perkins and his Black Titan Holdings group had purchased the restaurant chain for $18.5 million. “We’re excited to be purchasing Fuddruckers and look forward to working with Fuddruckers’ many dedicated, highly capable franchisees to further build this brand. As a Fuddruckers franchisee, I have a vested interest in ensuring that all Fuddruckers franchisees have the resources, infrastructure, and operational and marketing support they need to maximize their return on investment. This strategic alignment, when combined with the fact that we sell the ‘World’s Greatest Hamburgers’, will ensure the long-term success of the brand and our franchisees”, said Perkins.
