Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) responded to a house fire in the basement of a single-family home at 4500 Randolph Rd. near Charles Rd. in Rockville on Saturday, December 14.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, one person was rescued and is being evaluated by emergency medical personnel. Randolph Rd. near Viers Mill Rd. was blocked due to fire department activity.
Montgomery County Police issued the following alert at 3:08pm: “Fire rescue activity has Randolph Road closed from Selfridge Road to Dewey Road. Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route. Expect significant delays.”
