Gourmet Inspirations, which opened in 2014 after taking over the location that was previously home to Good Fortune (2646 university Blvd W.), will close permanently on January 1st. Cam Rahn Bay, a Vietnamese restaurant connected to Gourmet Inspirations with the same owner, will also close.
Gourmet Inspirations serves authentic Cantonese cuisine and dim sum. A recent announcement on the restaurant’s website states that staff shortages have reduced their seating capacity by 40%, adjusted their hours of operation, and reduced the number of available items on their menu.
An employee of the restaurant stated that much of the kitchen staff plans to retire and a new hire wouldn’t be able to execute the recipes the same way. The last day of service for both restaurants is scheduled for Wednesday, January 1st.
