Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Investigative Section are seeking assistance from the public in identifying a suspect involved in multiple theft incidents at a Silver Spring business.
The thefts occurred at the Tobacco Hut, located at 2647 University Blvd. West, on the following dates and times:
- Friday, December 13, 2024, at 12:28 a.m.
- Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 11:15 p.m.
- Sunday, December 29, 2024
The suspect entered the store on three separate occasions, stole merchandise, and fled the scene.
According to police, the suspect is described as a male of unknown race, believed to be in his late teens or twenties, with a thin build. During the incidents, he was seen wearing a winter hat of an unspecified color, a jacket, jeans, and tennis shoes.
