National Weather Service Once Again Increases Projected Snow Totals; Expected Snowfall For More Than 30 Areas in the DMV

The National Weather Service (NWS) has once again increased their projected snowfall totals for most of the area.

According to maps released at 9:17am on Saturday morning, a widespread 5-10” is expected for most of Maryland and Northern Virginia with small pockets of areas where more is possible. The “high end amount” map (10% chance of happening) shows over a foot of snow for the DC Metro area and the “low end amount” map (10% chance of happening) shows 1-4” of snow depending on the location. Both maps can be seen below.
