A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from 10pm Sunday until 1am Tuesday morning and we’ll take a look at the most recent snow maps we can find from each of the local major network affiliates.
Most of the networks are offering similar snowfall forecasts. NBC 4 is going with a widespread 5-8”+ for most of the area, with 3-6”+ for areas in Northern Maryland. FOX 5 is going with 5-10” + for almost the entire area. ABC 7 has all of Montgomery County and DC in the 5-10” range. WUSA 9 has the highest floor with 6-10”+ for the DC Metro area including all of Montgomery County. All maps can be seen below.
As of 10:16am, the National Weather Service (maps not pictured) has most of Montgomery County in the 6-11” range with a “high end amount” of 12-14 inches (10% chance) and a “low end amount” of 2-4 inches (10% chance). We’ll provide a final update this evening before the snow rolls into town late tonight/early tomorrow.
