Holiday Task Force Arrests 244 Impaired Drivers During DUI Crackdown

The Montgomery County Police Holiday Task Force arrested 244 impaired drivers for DUI between November 20, 2024, and January 12, 2025, including 30 arrests during its final week, with additional DUI arrests made by patrol officers not included in this total.

Per the news release: “During the last week of the Montgomery County Police Holiday Task Force, which ran from January 8-12 of 2025, officers arrested 30 people for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs (DUI).

This brings the total number of impaired drivers arrested to 244 since the task force began its efforts on November 20, 2024. Task force officers dedicated their full time and attention to identifying impaired drivers during the holiday season, aiming to enhance road safety and reduce the risks associated with impaired driving.

**It should be noted that the above arrests include only those arrests made by task force officers and do not include the additional arrests made by patrol officers in the performance of their duties. Therefore, the overall number of DUI arrests made by officers during this time period is higher.”
