Wong Gee Asian Restaurant, located at 2417 University Blvd West in Wheaton, will permanently close on Thursday, January 30, as the owner has announced their retirement.
Specializing in Hong Kong-style dishes, Dim Sum, and Cantonese-style barbecue, Wong Gee was known for popular items such as Steamed Chicken Feet with Black Bean Sauce, Deep-Fried Glutinous Rice Dumplings, Minced Beef and Egg Flower Soup, Stuffed Bean Curd with Shrimp Paste, and Cold Shredded Jellyfish.
The owners previously operated Eat First in Chinatown, DC, before opening Wong Gee in 2009.
