Maryland State Police Responded to 15 Suspected DUI Crashes Over the Weekend

Maryland State Police (MDSP) shared on Monday morning that over the weekend, state troopers responded to 15 suspected DUI incidents. Of those, seven involved multiple vehicles and seven involved someone being transported to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Additionally, the State Police Impaired Driving Reduction Effort (SPIDRE Team) recorded nine arrests for suspected DUI. Since its inception in 2013, the team has recorded more than 4,500 arrests for suspected DUI.

Maryland State Police also shared that along with their law enforcement partners, “MDSP works 24/7, 365 to deter dangerous driving behaviors, including aggressive, distracted, and impaired driving. Use the resources available to you; rideshare services, public transportation, taxis, or designated drivers.”
