Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a townhouse fire on Moss Side Lane in Olney on Saturday, February 1 at 4:16pm., with flames visible from a second-floor window.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the fire originated under a desk and was electrical in nature. The incident caused approximately $175K in damage and displaced one person, though the townhouse was unoccupied at the time. Smoke alarms were functional, and no injuries were reported.
