Yelp’s annual Top 100 Places to Eat “celebrates local restaurants across the U.S. that reflect the unique tastes of the Yelp community.” Yelp’s annual list covers a wide range of places to eat… from white tablecloth to food trucks and taquerias. This year, just one Maryland restaurant made the list.
DMV Taqueria, a food truck based at 5840 Banneker Rd. in Columbia (Howard County) and serving the greater area, was the only Maryland restaurant to make the list in 2025. DMV Taqueria writes, “Our identity is [to] be [an] energetic, imaginative mobile food truck company aimed at offering high-quality, foods using only local and natural ingredients. We view ourselves as partners with our customers, our employees, our community and our environment.” DMV Taqueria has earned a 4.8 rating on Yelp on just under 100 reviews.
Yelp users also named a DC dining spot to the list– Number 16 Georgetown Seafood. Last year, three Maryland restaurants made the list, including Montgomery County’s very own M&N’s Pizza in Bethesda at #82.
To determine Yelp’s Top 100 Places to Eat in 2025, Yelp’s data science team uses data generated from their community submissions. From the candidate restaurants, they narrowed the list down with “the expertise of their community managers and Trend Experts to curate a list as quirky, interesting and unique as the Yelp Community itself.”
