Hometown Holidays Will Return to Rockville Town Center After a Few Years at Red Gate Park

Popular concert festival Hometown Holidays will return to Rockville Town Center on Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25, 2025 from Noon-6 pm, according to the City of Rockville website.

Hometown Holidays has been held at Red Gate Park in recent years, but will be returning to the Town Center this May. It is a free community festival featuring two stages of local music and community performers; food vendors; kids crafts and yard games; beverage booths; and sponsor and city services booths.

Last year, Everclear headlined the event on Sunday and packed the park with hundreds of residents who poured in to catch a performance by alternative rock band. While the event was considered a success, many on our social media shared the sentiment of wanting it to return to Rockville Town Center. Some comments calling for the move back can be seen below:

• “Red Gate is fun because my kids could run around, but it was just all so spread out so we couldn’t enjoy everything.”

• “I keep saying this can be just like Merriweather……. But PLEASE bring HTH back to the streets of town center”

• “the concert was great but BRING IT BACK TO TOWN SQUARE.”
