City of Gaithersburg Announces Funding Opportunity for Youth Grants

The City of Gaithersburg has announced the Notice of Funding Opportunity for Fiscal Year 2026 Youth Education and Enrichment and Ed Bohrer Parent Resource Center Grant programs. Per Gaithersburg, These grants aim to address educational needs and provide quality, accessible and equitable services for City students and families.

More from the City of Gaithersburg: Applications for FY26 grants will be accepted starting February 14, 2025. All proposals must be submitted online here. The application deadline is 5 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025. Late proposals will not be accepted after that date and time.

Mandatory technical information sessions for the Youth Education and Enrichment Grant program will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 10 a.m. and for the Ed Bohrer Parent Resource Center Grant on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 11:30 a.m.  To receive a link to either virtual training, please email [email protected]. Attendance is required for all applicants, however for those unable to attend, a recording will be available on the grants webpage. The City of Gaithersburg is seeking not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) agencies to partner with specific schools in the Gaithersburg area to apply for FY26 Youth Education and Enrichment Grants, as well as 501(c)(3) agencies that provide critical community service programs for City of Gaithersburg families through the Ed Bohrer Parent Resource Center.

The Gaithersburg Community Services Division staff review applications for technical compliance, after which they are submitted to the City’s Educational Enrichment and Community Advisory Committees for evaluation. Award recommendations are submitted to the Mayor and City Council for funding consideration as part of the FY26 budget cycle.
