Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a large single-family house fire on Mary Mead Court in Potomac on Monday afternoon.
According to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, crews arrived to heavy fire conditions on multiple floors and the roof. A second alarm was called as firefighters worked to control the blaze.
The bulk of the fire has been knocked down, and all occupants safely evacuated with no reported injuries. Approximately 85 firefighters responded to the scene.
One family of seven has been displaced as a result of the fire.
