Crackdown on Drug Activity Leads to 11 Arrests

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) arrested eleven individuals following an investigation into illicit drug activity in the 12200 block of Selfridge Road in Silver Spring, executing a search warrant on March 7, 2025, that uncovered criminal activity involving approximately 30 people.

The operation resulted in multiple felony and misdemeanor charges, including possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, as MCPD continues efforts to combat narcotics-related offenses and protect public safety.

According to MCPD, “On Friday, March 7, 2025, a search warrant was executed at a residence, where officers encountered approximately 30 people in and around the residence and observed criminal activity consistent with the complaints received from neighbors.

The operation led to the following enforcement actions:

  • 11 individuals arrested
  • 17 outstanding arrest warrants served
  • 1 felony charge – possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine
  • 1 felony charge – nuisance property violation
  • 2 misdemeanor charges – possession of cocaine
