Picanteria El Picaron is now open at 2417 University Blvd West in Wheaton. The restaurant is located in the space previously occupied by Wong Gee, which closed in January.
The menu offers a selection of Peruvian cuisine, including appetizers, ceviches, fish and seafood, pork rinds, soups, beef, chicken, sides, drinks, and desserts. Specialties include Cuy a la Caja China, Sopa de Mote with corn, beef tripe, and cow feet, Caldo de Gallina with noodles and boiled eggs, the Parrilla Especial El Picaron.
