On Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 7pm-9pm the City of Takoma Park Police Department will host a Multi-Jurisdictional Public Safety Summit. Law enforcement leaders from the following law enforcement agencies are expected to attend the Summit; the Montgomery County Police Department, Prince George’s County Police Department, Metropolitan Police Department (DC), Metro Transit Police, Maryland State Police, and Maryland-National Capital Park Police.
The purpose of the summit will be to gather police chiefs and their representatives from neighboring jurisdictions to discuss and collaborate on investigating and reducing cross-jurisdictional crime. This summit offers a unique opportunity for law enforcement leaders to share insights, identify common challenges, answer residents’ questions, and explore strategies for enhancing regional public safety. By promoting collaboration and improving communication between agencies, the summit aims to strengthen collective efforts in addressing shared community concerns, ensuring a more coordinated and effective response to crime that crosses jurisdictional boundaries.
The event will take place on Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 7pm-9pm in the City Council Auditorium, 7500 Maple Ave, Takoma Park, Maryland 20912.
