Shortly before 3:30pm on Tuesday on Stewartown Road near Goshen Road in Gaithersburg, a two-vehicle collision prompted an emergency response from Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services. According to dispatch details, some occupants were trapped inside one of the vehicles at the scene.
According to MCFRS Chief spokesperson Pete Piringer, multiple units responded to the incident, including ALS708, A708, T734, RS729, PE728, EMS705, SA700, BC705, and A708B. Emergency responders worked to extricate the individuals from the trapped vehicle while managing the scene.
Authorities have issued a traffic advisory indicating that Stewartown Road is closed in both directions near Goshen Road, with additional lanes blocked. Motorists in the area are advised to seek alternate routes until conditions improve.
