Old Glory DC to Host Military Appreciation Night Home Match at George Mason University on May 13, 2025 (sponsored)

Tuesday Night Match to Feature Special Halftime Ceremony, In-Game Tributes, and Free Entry for Those Who Serve

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Old Glory DC, the only professional rugby team in the DMV, and George Mason Athletics today announced that Old Glory DC will host its May 13, 2025 home match against the NOLA Gold and Military Appreciation Night at The Stadium at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. Kickoff is set for 6:00 PM ET.

“George Mason University has been our outdoor training home for two and a half years, so it was a natural choice for hosting this special Tuesday night game,” said Old Glory DC Chairman Chris Dunlavey. “We’re proud to dedicate our May 13 match to the brave men and women who serve our country. Old Glory DC has deep and enduring ties to the military community — several of the front office staff are active-duty service members, veterans, or reservists and two of our players, KoiKoi Nelligan and Collin Grosse are graduates of the United States Military Academy at West Point.”

The Old Glory DC Military Appreciation Night is a tribute to the courage and sacrifice of service members and their families, including a special halftime ceremony and in-game recognitions honoring those who serve. Fans can purchase a limited-edition Old Glory DC Challenger Coin, which provides two complimentary tickets for military guests. While active-duty personnel and veterans can access $15 discounted tickets for all Old Glory games through GovX, admission to Military Appreciation Night is free at the gate with a military ID.

“George Mason University is proud to welcome Old Glory DC and its fans to our campus,” said George Mason Assistant Vice President/Director of Athletics Marvin Lewis. “George Mason Stadium continues to attract top professional teams around the globe as a marquee venue to train and compete. This partnership highlights our commitment to the Northern Virginia community and those who serve within it. We’re looking forward to an unforgettable evening of rugby.”
