One Maryland Restaurant Nominated for “Best Brunch of the Year” Award

The Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) recently announced the finalists for the 2025 RAMMYS Awards & Gala during an exclusive reception attended by local chefs, restaurateurs, and industry leaders. Among the nominees for “Best Brunch of the Year” is Maryland’s J. Hollinger’s Waterman’s Chophouse in Silver Spring.

The restaurants included were recognized for their exceptional dining excellence and service during brunch, whether offered in a full-service, buffet, or prix fixe format. To qualify, nominees must have maintained operations for at least one year by December 31, 2024.

In 2023, the restaurant kicked off a “lavish brunch buffet every Sunday with house made items like slow-roasted ribeye with fresh herbs and garlic, hot honey fried chicken, house cured gravlax, crab-stuffed deviled eggs, brioche French toast with local berries, frittata withlocal eggs, cherry tomatoes, basil, candy onions, and fontina, and many more options.”

Brunch cocktails feature oyster shooters made with Chesapeake Bay oysters, a Bloody Mary bar, fresh sangria, sparkling cocktails and an inspired selection of caffeinated cocktails with fresh espresso and teas. The restaurant also has its raw bar menu available a la carte during brunch.
