Anita’s Restaurant, offering “Authentic Guatemalan Cuisine,” is now open at 1488 Rockville Pike, taking over the former site of Joe’s Noodle House.
Menu items include chuchitos, churrasco chapín, enchiladas chapinas, garnachas, chile relleno, and carne adobada. The restaurant is not associated with Virginia-based Anita’s New Mexico Style Mexican Food.
Joe’s Noodle House closed on December 30 after more than 20 years in business, following the chef’s retirement and the owner’s return to Taiwan. The beloved spot was known for its Szechuan cuisine and a wide-ranging menu of noodle soups, stir-fries, seafood, and vegetarian dishes.
