Dorsa Gifts, a longstanding retail fixture at 1488D Rockville Pike, will close its storefront on June 15, marking the end of 25 years in Rockville, MD.
Founded in 2000 by Mina Kokabi, Dorsa Gifts was established with the goal of sharing unique, internationally sourced gifts. The store featured a curated selection of items from countries such as Iran, the Czech Republic, Germany, and Vietnam, among others. Over the past 25 years, the shop has been a community mainstay, serving families who have returned year after year to celebrate the holidays and mark special occasions.
As Mina Kokabi prepares for retirement, she expressed heartfelt gratitude for the community’s support throughout the store’s history. “It has been an honor to serve this wonderful community and watch families grow, return, and celebrate each holiday season with us,” she shared.
In recognition of the years of patronage, Dorsa Gifts is offering special sales as a thank you to its customers. Although the physical storefront will close on June 15, the business is exploring alternative avenues to stay connected with its clientele, including online options and occasional holiday pop-ups.
