Recently featured on FOX29 Philadelphia, after going viral for her Labubu hunts, searches and fashion, Montgomery County, MD native Sophia Tyris (Apostolaros) took an unexpected journey from the courtroom to the craft table.
Raised in Potomac and a proud graduate of Winston Churchill High School; After a 10+ year career in law, she traded legal briefs for sewing needles and launched Cocobear– a now-patent-pending line of fully customizable plush toys that’s sparking a creative movement among collectors, kids, and artists alike.
Her newest venture, the Cocobear Carry Crew, combines her nostalgic love for 90s toys with a mission to support independent makers, offering mystery bundles, DIY kits, and collectible plushies that fans can personalize from the inside out.
What began as a personal passion project is now a growing brand– and it’s all rooted in Montgomery County. Tyris created a Montgomery County/MoCoShow inspired bear, which can be seen in the featured photo, as a tribute to her hometown. Keep up with Tyris and her Cocobear creations here.
