Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a collision involving a motorcyclist at Veirs Mill Road and Newport Mill Road in Wheaton at approximately 8:02 AM on Tuesday, June 10.
According to MCFRS spokesperson David Pazos, three individuals were injured, with the motorcyclist transported to a trauma hospital with life-threatening injuries and two others taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Montgomery County Police Department is diverting traffic due to the incident.
Montgomery County Police issued the following traffic advisory at 8:43am: “A traffic collision has Eastbound Veirs Mill Road closed between Pendelton Drive and Claridge Road. Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route. Expect significant delays.
