In a collaborative effort, the Park Police teamed up with the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) for a high-visibility traffic enforcement initiative on Georgia Avenue in Aspen Hill. Instead of utilizing standard police vehicles, officers conducted stops on horseback.
The initiative aimed to enhance traffic enforcement through a traditional approach, utilizing the mobility and presence of mounted officers. The high-visibility patrols were part of an ongoing program to improve roadway safety and enforce traffic regulations along Georgia Avenue.
