Celebrate Damascus takes place this Friday and Saturday, July 11–12, 2025, offering a full lineup of family-friendly events throughout Damascus.
The festivities begin Friday evening with a community parade along Route 27 at 7 p.m., followed by a fireworks display (rain date: Saturday). Fried chicken dinners will be served from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. inside the air-conditioned hall at the Damascus Volunteer Fire Department.
On Saturday, July 12, events include a flea market at the Damascus Lions Club, an open house at the Damascus Volunteer Fire Department, and activities around town such as contests at McDonald’s and Jimmie Cone, a silent book club at Starbucks, and games and food trucks at Damascus United Methodist Church. Carquest Auto Parts will host a cruise-in car show with prizes and food. Free tram transportation will be available around town.
According to MCDOT: Due to the “Celebrate Damascus Parade”, Ride On Bus Route 90 towards Damascus will experience a detour on Friday, July 11, from 5 – 9 p.m. Details of the detour can be found below.
