The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) reports that the Emergency Communications Center is experiencing intermittent issues with the non-emergency line, and residents are advised to call 240-683-1650 instead and avoid using 9-1-1 for non-emergency matters.
MCPD issued the following alert at 7:45am on Tuesday, July 29: The Montgomery County Emergency Communications Center is having intermittent issues receiving calls on the non-emergency number. Please call the alternate line 240-683-1650. Please DO NOT call 9-1-1 for non-emergencies. We hope to have the problem resolved soon.”
