Former President Joe Biden, known for his well-documented love of ice cream, has been spotted for the second time this week at a Baskin Robbins location here in Montgomery County, Maryland. The casual stops, this time in Downtown Bethesda (4905 Cordell Ave.), have drawn attention from local residents and media alike.
On Monday, the former president made a surprise visit to the Baskin-Robbins in Kensington. According to reports, he ordered a double scoop of chocolate and vanilla ice cream, along with a chocolate milkshake. He also took the time to take selfies with staff, with one employee describing the moment as an honor.
Following up on his earlier visit, Biden was seen again on Friday morning, this time at the Dunkin’/Baskin-Robbins located on Cordell Avenue in downtown Bethesda. The details of his order at the Bethesda location are not yet available, but an onlooker tells us he appeared to have a cup of ice cream and a milkshake again.
The two visits to local ice cream shops this week are in keeping with a long-standing tradition for the former president, who has frequently been photographed enjoying the frozen treat throughout his political career.
