This past weekend, Alex Tsironis, founder of The MoCoShow, went on a family vacation to Cambridge, MD, and shared a tale about what he called “the best crabs in Maryland.” Beyond their exceptional taste and meat, Alex explained why the entire experience made these crabs truly stand out with the following story on social media:
“Our family vacation in Cambridge, MD took a delicious turn when we decided we wanted crabs for dinner. After a quick search, we found Danny Windsor Seafood/Danny’s Soft Crabs. When we called, he mentioned they only accepted cash or check, which we didn’t have. The nearest ATM was a half-hour drive away, but Danny immediately put us at ease. “No problem,” he said, “come get them, and you can mail me a check.”
Feeling both grateful and a little embarrassed, we drove to pick up our order, even adding some steamed shrimp to the mix. The menu was simple: crabs, shrimp, and corn. We took our son, Rocky, with us, leaving the other kids at home with family.
When we arrived, Danny’s kindness was immediately apparent. He offered Rocky a popsicle and suggested we walk down the pier to take pictures while the shrimp steamed. As we returned, another family with two little girls came in, and his genuine warmth toward them was unforgettable– it was as if he was greeting his own grandchildren.
And the crabs? They were, without a doubt, some of the best we’ve ever had.
