The Montgomery County Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Monday, August 11, 2025 near Tanglewood Park in Fairland. Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying any possible suspects.
According to MCPD, “At approximately 11:54 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the location for the report of a shooting. Police officers located a juvenile male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The investigation has revealed that the suspect was involved in a verbal dispute with the victim. The suspect displayed a handgun and shot the victim.
Anyone with information regarding this suspect or this incident is asked to contact the 3rd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6870 or Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Tips may remain anonymous. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.”
