The Town of Kensington is set to host its beloved Annual Labor Day Parade & Festival on Monday, September 1, from 10am to 2pm. The popular event promises a day of community celebration, family fun, and lively entertainment, rain or shine.
The festivities will kick off at 10am with the traditional parade, which will follow its well-known route from Plyers Mill Road to the Noyes Library. Spectators can expect a vibrant procession featuring an array of participants, including dance groups, marching bands, equestrian groups, floats, and the Kensington Volunteer Fire Department’s fire trucks.
Following the parade, the celebration will continue with a full-fledged festival from 10am to 2 pm. The heart of the festival will be on Armory Avenue, which will come alive with a variety of activities for all ages. Attendees can enjoy delicious offerings from food vendors, a selection of beer and wine, and live music. For families, the festival will feature vendor booths, bounce houses, and plenty of family-friendly fun.
The event serves as a classic way for the community to “Make Way For” the end of summer and the beginning of the fall season. For more information, residents and visitors are encouraged to visit the official Town of Kensington website at TOK.MD.gov/Events.
