Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) 6th District officers and Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services (MCFRS) were dispatched early Sunday for a reported shooting in the 9000 block of Centerway Road in Gaithersburg.
According to MCPD, “on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at approximately 2:42 a.m., Montgomery County Department of Police – 6th District officers and Fire Rescue personnel responded to the location for the report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The decedent has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the official cause and manner of death. There are no suspects in custody at this time and no suspect information is available. This is an active and ongoing investigation.”
