The Rosner family invites the community back to Little Bennett Golf Course on Friday, September 19, 2025, for the 4th annual Justin’s Hole-in-One Golf Tournament, a heartfelt event benefiting the music therapy program at INOVA Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Oncology unit. Hosted in memory of their son, Justin Alexander Rosner, the tournament raises essential funds for a cause that means the world to the family, and to young children undergoing cancer treatment.
Reflecting on last year’s success, the Rosners shared, “Thankfully we are fully funded through 2025. Our goal for this event is to raise $50,000 in order to ensure the music therapy program is funded through 2026!!!” The event is still looking for additional sponsors, as well as silent auction and raffle items. Additional information can be found here for those who are interested.
Justin was diagnosed with Stage 3 Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma at just 15 months old. Over 43 weeks of treatment, marked by rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, he showed an extraordinary spirit, earning the medical team’s admiration as “superhuman.” Tragically, he passed away at age 2½ on February 5, 2019.
But even in his brief life, Justin left a light that still shines. His family fondly remembers him as their “BRAVE LITTLE SOUL,” someone who “knew how to live and love,” found joy in all things, and connected deeply with music. “To know Justin was to love him.” In his honor, the non-profit JUSTiN’s LOVE was formed and now sponsors a part-time music therapist on the Children’s Oncology unit’s 10th floor at INOVA.
Justin’s Hole-in-One is more than a golf tournament, it’s a meaningful tribute that allows players, sponsors, and the broader Montgomery County community to share in compassion, remembrance, and hope. The event promises a day of spirited competition, camaraderie, and impactful giving, all held at the welcoming landscape of their “home course,” Little Bennett.
Registration and sponsorship opportunities are still available and the family encourages early participation. The beautiful 18-hole layout, complete with sweeping views and clubhouse amenities, sets a fitting stage for both serious golfers and community members looking to support a worthy cause. In the words of the Rosners, “The purpose of this event is to honor the memory of our son- Justin Alexander Rosner, raise money for the music therapy program at Inova Children’s Hospital, and to HAVE FUN playing golf at our home course- Little Bennett.”
