Cinco de Mayo Has Permanently Closed

Cinco de Mayo, a Mexican restaurant and bar located at 640 Center Point Way in Gaithersburg’s Kentlands, has permanently closed.

The restaurant opened in August 2020 and was situated next to the former Mod Pizza space, which is set to become an Andy’s Pizza. Its menu featured a variety of Mexican favorites, including carne asada, chimichangas, nachos, fajitas, tacos, quesadillas, and an extensive cocktail and margarita selection.

Cinco de Mayo has additional Maryland locations in Columbia, Middletown, Owings Mills, and Westminster, as well as one in Martinsburg, West Virginia. The company also closed its Urbana location in August.
