K BAP Express Opens in Rockville

A new dining option blending Korean and Japanese flavors has opened its doors in Rockville. K BAP Express is now serving customers at 121B Congressional Lane, in the space that was most recently home to Pines of Rome Express. the carry-out and delivery focused offshoot of the beloved Bethesda Italian restaurant Closed its doors after less than two years in business.

The new restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring popular Korean staples such as kimbap (seaweed rolls), bibimbap (mixed vegetable rice bowls), dumplings, and dupbap (rice bowls with a variety of protein options including bulgogi, chicken dori, donkatsu, and spicy pork bulgogi). Diners can also enjoy lighter bites like rolled omelets, porridge, and wraps during breakfast hours.

For lunch, K BAP Express serves burgers with beef, fish, or salmon, and highlights traditional Korean pancakes with fillings such as kimchi, shrimp, squid, and potato. Side dishes include seaweed rice balls, tempura, kimchi, and spicy cucumber salad. The drink menu features coffee, fresh juices, and teas ranging from green and black to ginger-cinnamon and lemon. K BAP Express is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
