The Harbor Bank of Maryland will celebrate a major milestone this month with the grand opening of its first Montgomery County branch in downtown Silver Spring. The event is set for Tuesday, September 23, from 11:30am to 1:30pm at 1010 Wayne Avenue. The bank opened for business earlier this summer.
The Silver Spring location marks the bank’s expansion into Montgomery County as part of its broader commitment to serving communities across the DMV. Guests attending the grand opening will have the opportunity to meet the local branch team, explore the newly designed space, and take part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony officially opening the doors. Registration for the free event is available here.
Adding a creative twist to the occasion, the celebration will also feature an exclusive exhibition of The Thangularity Mothership, a collaborative artwork by legendary funk musician George Clinton and artist Overton Loyd. Light refreshments will be provided as community members and business leaders gather to welcome the bank into the neighborhood.
Founded in Baltimore, The Harbor Bank of Maryland has built its reputation on strengthening local communities by providing accessible financial services and supporting minority-owned businesses.
