Quince Orchard Marketplace, a prominent grocery-anchored (Safeway) shopping center in Gaithersburg, is now being marketed for sale by CBRE. It has been available since September 4th by CBRE, but a sale price has not been released.
The 80,261 SF property sits on 15.05 acres at the signalized intersection of Quince Orchard Road and Darnestown Road (across from Quince Orchard High School), one of the busiest corridors in Montgomery County with combined traffic counts of more than 44,000 vehicles per day.
The center, anchored by a 50,090 SF Safeway (the grocery store building was built in 1992) also includes national tenants such as Capital One and Sunoco. Additional retail spaces were constructed in 2007, giving the center a modern footprint that continues to draw strong daily foot traffic. The spaces are currently occupied by California Tortilla, Chop Shop, Inferno, Sunoco, and Capital One.
While the center is being offered for sale, the availability does not signal any immediate changes for existing tenants. With its strategic location, excellent visibility, and creditworthy tenant mix, the property is expected to draw significant interest from investors seeking long-term stability in the DC metro area.
