Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred Sunday afternoon in Fairland.
According to police, “At approximately 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2025, officers from the 3rd District and Montgomery County Fire Rescue Service personnel responded to the area of Old Columbia Pike and Musgrove Road for a report of a serious collision involving a black Cadillac XT4.
Upon arrival, first responders found the vehicle overturned with two occupants trapped inside. The driver, an adult female, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, an adult male, was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to preliminary findings, the Cadillac was traveling south on Old Columbia Pike when, for reasons still under investigation, the driver lost control of the vehicle near the intersection with Musgrove Road. No other vehicles were involved.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash. The identity of the driver will be released once next of kin have been properly notified. Police say the investigation may take several weeks to complete, and additional details will be shared as they become available.
