Dollar Tree Now Open in White Oak

Dollar Tree has officially opened in White Oak, bringing new life to the retail space that was previously home to Office Depot on New Hampshire Avenue.

The discount retailer opened its doors in early November at 11130 New Hampshire Avenue. Back in July, we reported that Dollar Tree had secured a construction permit valued at more than $600,000 for the build-out, part of a $629,064 transformation first noted by Maryland Newsletters. The renovation  wrapped up in October, and the store is open to shoppers.

This White Oak location is part of Dollar Tree’s ongoing expansion across Montgomery County. Earlier this year, the company opened opening a store in the Cloverly Town Center in April 2025, in the space that was formerly a karate studio. Additionally, a new Dollar Tree store opened last year in North Bethesda, and another new location recently arrived in the Kentlands area of Gaithersburg.

Dollar Tree, a Fortune 200 company, operates more than 16,590 stores across the U.S. and Canada under the Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, and Dollar Tree Canada brands. The company has increasingly targeted larger, second-generation retail spaces, like former big-box office supply stores, to offer wider merchandise selections and to align with growing customer demand for value-driven shopping.
