Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded around 2 p.m. on Saturday to the 2300 block of Glenallan Avenue at Landmark at Glenmont Station for a reported vehicle fire.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, Firefighters found trash burning that involved a small lithium battery experiencing thermal runaway. HazMat teams assisted by securing and preparing the battery for safe removal. No exposures or additional hazards were reported.
