The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) 3rd District Holiday Crime Suppression Task Force officers arrested an adult male in Silver Spring on December 17 after recovering a stolen vehicle during a theft investigation at a Target store on Cherry Hill Road.
According to MCPD 3rd District Commander Jason Cokinos, the suspect is believed to be connected to multiple retail thefts across the region, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Members of your @mcpnews 3rd District Holiday Crime Suppression Task Force officers were working in partnership with Target loss prevention today (12/17/25) at around 1:30PM on Cherry Hill Rd in Silver Spring.
A subject was observed in the store stealing items and entered a vehicle attempting to leave. Officers were able to contain the vehicle and make an arrest.
The vehicle had been reported stolen from a neighboring jurisdiction. The adult male subject is potentially involved in numerous other thefts from other stores around the region.
