Two Maryland cities have made the top 25.

With a median home value of $1,004,244, substantially exceeding the national average home value of $370,489, Bethesda not only delivers a higher standard of living compared to its peers but also stands proudly as the #2 best place to live in Maryland. Moreover, when considering smaller cities, Bethesda has been ranked #13 across the country.
Ellicott City, in Howard County, ranked even higher nationally at 13th among major cities. With a median home value of $627,797, this charming community likewise surpasses the national average, offering considerable value to its residents. Ellicott City has been named the top best place to live in Maryland and holds an impressive #7 position in the Best Small Cities to Live category nationwide.
