Three new businesses are preparing to open at the Montrose Shopping Center in Rockville, adding a mix of retail and dining options to the shopping center that’s home to MOM’s Organic Market, K-Pot, and more.
K-Wave, a fast-growing K-pop retail brand, is expanding to Maryland with a new location planned for Rockville. The store will open at 5534 Randolph Road. The brand specializes in K-pop albums, merchandise, and collectibles, and the Rockville location is currently targeting a May 2026 opening.
Coming Soon signage is also up for a new Goodwill location at the shopping center. As previously reported in December, Goodwill is taking over the space most recently occupied by Planet Aid. The storefront, located at 5520 Randolph Road, is now clearly marked as an upcoming Goodwill, confirming plans for the long-anticipated move-in.
Rounding out the trio is Flavor Hive, a viral halal fusion restaurant brand that will open its first Maryland location in Rockville. The concept is co-founded by local social media personality Shihan Chowdhury, known online as “Chilipeppercooks,” along with business partner Amgd Gende. Chowdhury is a Montgomery County native and Seneca Valley High School graduate, making the Rockville opening a hometown milestone for the growing brand.
