J.Addo Brings Viral Hoopers and Community Together for Birthday Basketball Classic

A major influencer basketball event is coming to Silver Spring this spring as the J.Addo Birthday Basketball Classic tips off on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 2pm-6pm at John F. Kennedy High School.

The event brings together some of the most recognizable names in online and street basketball for an afternoon built around competition, community, and celebration. Fans can expect a high energy basketball game featuring social media influencers and viral hoopers going head to head on the court, alongside music, food, vendors, and live entertainment throughout the day.

The game will be held inside Kennedy High School’s recently renovated gymnasium, which can accommodate more than 500 spectators and features a new parking garage. The venue holds special significance for J.Addo, serving as his original stomping grounds and a place that helped shape his journey both on and off the court. Tickets can be purchased here.

J.Addo grew up in Montgomery County and spent much of his time playing basketball and football in the White Oak area. His passion for music began to take shape during his senior year at John F. Kennedy High School, ultimately leading to a career that has taken him around the world. Beyond music, he has remained deeply connected to his community, contributing through speaking engagements at local schools, participation in community events, and international outreach efforts, including working with youth in Ghana. In 2023, he was honored as the first artist to perform in the Washington Wizards’ DMV Music Series.

Beyond the basketball game itself, the event will feature a vendor village with clothing, accessories, and local businesses, along with food trucks, live music, giveaways, and surprises throughout the afternoon. The celebration also supports the FMV community initiative, which focuses on uplifting and empowering people across the DMV.

The player lineup features a wide range of well known basketball personalities. Bruce Massey Jr., a Germantown native and former NBA G League player, has become a rising presence in the YouTube basketball scene. Baby Shaq, a DMV streetball legend, gained national recognition through the And 1 basketball group. White Chocolate became widely known through an MTV series centered on street basketball culture.

Also taking part is Nasir Core, a Florida based YouTube star who continues to go viral weekly, along with Ant Brown Jr., one of the top young players out of DC who has been generating major buzz throughout the DMV. Mo Creek, one of Prince George’s County’s most prolific scorers, played college basketball at Indiana alongside Victor Oladipo.

The roster also includes TNE JayPee, a viral basketball player from Houston making a special trip to the area, Leaky Roof from New York, who is signed to the legendary And 1 streetball brand, Boogie Cooper, one of the top young stars to come out of Richard Montgomery High School, Nesco, a standout from Delaware who frequently appears on major viral basketball platforms, and JJ Epps, a former state champion who won a title in 2012 with Magruder High School.
