Char’d Opens Its First Maryland Location On Thursday

Char’d is officially opening its doors at Pike & Rose this week, marking the brand’s first brick-and-mortar location in Maryland. The burger restaurant will debut on Thursday, March 5, with doors opening at 5:30pm at 11881 Grand Park Ave. in North Bethesda.

To celebrate the opening, the restaurant is offering a few launch-day perks, including custom tote bags for the first 50 guests and complimentary hot chocolate for everyone waiting in line. Char’d is taking over the Pike & Rose space previously occupied by BurgerFi, which closed late last year after more than six years at the location.

The Pike & Rose restaurant represents a major milestone for the brand, which began as a food truck in Northern Virginia in April 2023 before expanding to Gaithersburg later that year and opening its first brick-and-mortar location at Tysons Galleria in Virginia. Strong demand from Maryland customers helped drive the decision to open in Montgomery County.

Char’d’s menu centers on smashed-style burgers and comfort food made with grass-fed beef and cooked without seed oils. Signature offerings include the Original Char’d, topped with American cheese, shredduce, onion, pickle, and house CHAR’D sauce, as well as the Hot Char’d, featuring pickled jalapeños and a jalapeño-forward sauce. Duck-fat fries, wings, grilled cheese sandwiches, and additional sides round out the menu.
