Montgomery County Police said a man was killed Monday night in a multi-vehicle collision in Damascus.
Officers from the 5th District and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue personnel responded around 10:29 pm to Ridge Road north of Sweepstakes Road, where they found the driver of a Toyota Camry in the roadway after he was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of a Lexus NX350, an adult woman, was trapped inside her vehicle, extricated, and transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of a third vehicle, a Ford Fusion, was not injured. Witnesses told police the Toyota was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed prior to the crash. The Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating.
