A large tree fell onto a home in Rockville’s Sycamore Acres neighborhood on Monday, March 16, causing significant property damage but no reported injuries.
According to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) spokesperson Pete Piringer, crews responded to the 4400 block of Pine Tree Road near Sycamore Lane, off Muncaster Mill Road, for a report of a tree that had collapsed onto a house.
The incident resulted in significant structural damage to the home. Despite the impact, no injuries were reported. Two adults who live in the home were displaced, along with their pets, which included one dog and five cats.
The incident occurred as strong storms moved through the region, bringing damaging winds that led to downed trees and other hazards across Montgomery County.
