Hometown Holidays will return to Rockville Town Center this spring, bringing two days of live music, food, and family-friendly activities to the heart of the city.
The annual event takes place Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24, 2026, from noon to 6pm each day. Known as Rockville’s signature community festival, Hometown Holidays features multiple stages of entertainment, local vendors, and activities for all ages.
The Red Wing Shoes Main Stage will host a variety of performances throughout the weekend. Saturday’s lineup includes The U.S. Navy Band Cruisers, Proverbs Reggae Band, a Mayor and Council welcome, and The E Street Shuffle, a Bruce Springsteen tribute band. On Sunday, performers include Fast Eddie & The Slowpokes, Bastard Bearded Irishmen, another Mayor and Council welcome, and Joslyn & the Sweet Compression.
The Town Square Stage will feature a mix of cultural performances and family entertainment. Saturday’s schedule includes traditional Sri Lankan drumming by Ceylon Bera, an animal show, kids music from Groovy Nate, and a set from Band of Roses, followed by Midnight Mimosa. Sunday’s lineup includes a morning yoga session with Thrive Yoga at 9am, along with performances by Victorian Lyric Opera Company, Rocknoceros, Ocho de Bastos, and North to Nashville.
Families can enjoy kids activities throughout the event, including crafts, yard games, and live performances. A dedicated craft tent and interactive games like giant Connect 4 will be available, though organizers note that there will be no large amusements due to space limitations.
A wide variety of food will be available throughout the festival, with local restaurants and vendors serving everything from classic festival favorites to international flavors. Beverage booths will offer soda, water, and a selection of alcoholic drinks, with two locations accepting cash, credit, and digital wallets. Food vendors will also have non-alcoholic drink options available. Organizers note that mugs and mug refills will not be offered.
In addition to food and entertainment, the festival will feature artisan booths offering handmade goods such as candles, jewelry, skincare products, plants, and more.
Several amenities will be available onsite, including restrooms, first aid, a sensory tent and respite station, bike parking, and a Safe Ride Home program sponsored by the Rockville Recreation and Parks Foundation.
Organizers note that outside prepared food is permitted, but outside alcohol is not. The event is smoke- and vape-free, and most activities will take place rain or shine. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets for seating, though they are not allowed within 100 feet of the stage.
Certain items are prohibited for safety reasons, including tents, open flames, drones, glass containers, and recreational wheeled devices. Pets are discouraged, though service animals are permitted.
Yoga at Hometown Holidays will take place Sunday morning at 9am on the turf in front of the Town Square Stage. Participants are encouraged to bring a mat, water, and a friend for the free session.
Hometown Holidays continues to serve as one of Rockville’s largest community gatherings, offering a weekend of entertainment and activities designed to bring residents together.
