The Carderock Market, which launched in April, returns Thursday, May 7 from 4pm to 7pm at the Carderock Swim & Tennis Club parking lot in Bethesda, bringing together a wide mix of local food vendors, bakers, artists, and specialty businesses for a Mother’s Day-themed community market.
Visitors can expect everything from handmade dumplings and empanadas to barbecue, tacos, doughnuts, coffee, baked goods, jewelry, artwork, and locally raised farm products.
Vendors scheduled to participate include Ana’s Twist, serving oven-baked empanadas, vegan soups, tamales, cassava bread, sorbets, juices, and gluten-free offerings; Andean Delights Bakery with Bolivian salteñas and empanadas; Cafecito MD with specialty coffee; Dumpling 88 with handmade dumplings made from locally sourced ingredients; Handcraft Doughnuts; Lovely Macarons; Shokupan Bakery; Silver and Sons BBQ; SBS Mediterranean; Square Taco Xochimilco Taste of Mexico; and Simply Delicious Desserts & Catering.
Additional vendors include Benchmark Sharpening LLC, offering knife and tool sharpening services; Gdiek Jewelry with gold-filled jewelry; Meadow Fern Studio featuring nature-inspired acrylic artwork; Nude Granola with allergen-friendly granola products; and Spring Hollow Farm, a family-owned Maryland farm specializing in pasture-raised eggs, chicken, and grass-fed products.
The market was created to strengthen the close-knit Carderock Springs community while supporting local vendors and small businesses. Guests can also enjoy live music while shopping throughout the evening.
Additional 2026 market dates are scheduled for May 21, July 23, August 6, August 20, September 3, September 17, October 1, October 15, and October 29, all from 4pm to 7pm at the Carderock Swim & Tennis Club parking lot.
