Rockville City Police are investigating the theft of a 2008 Acura MDX that was stolen from a home in the 200 block of Ritchie Parkway in Rockville.
According to police, an unknown suspect rummaged through an unlocked Ford F-150 parked at the residence sometime overnight between May 5 and May 6 and located the keys to the Acura before stealing the SUV from the driveway.
On May 7 at approximately 6:11 pm, officers responded to Veirs Mill Road at Broadwood Drive for a collision involving the stolen Acura. Police say the driver fled the scene after being picked up by another man operating a blue and red scooter. The driver of the Acura was described as a Hispanic male wearing black pants and a black sweatshirt, while the passenger, described as a Hispanic male wearing shorts, fled on foot before officers arrived.
